So who are the Scottish Local Government Security Group?
Well we’re made up of a number of invited members, mainly the 32 Local Government ( Authority ) bodies that cover Scotland. We work as a Warning, Advice and Reporting Point ( WARP ) for the Local Government members and strategic partners who we work closely with. Meeting on a bimonthly basis the Group meets to discuss security concerns, share ideas, discuss good practise and address security issue that Local Government and it’s partners may be facing.
Members agree to work under Chatham House rules and with bimonthly meetings, weekly email bulletin updates, secure on-line collaboration we aim to reduce the risk of electronic attack, improve awareness and education, increase information sharing or warnings and alerts, improve incident reporting and ensure good practice when it comes to Information Security and Assurance across Scotland.
